Seriously, can we please talk about how fucking amazing an actress Helena Bonham Carter is?
When I was watching this, I just thought it had to be Emma Watson wearing a Bellatrix mask. Just look at her facial expressions, delicate and hesitant, how precisely they mimic those of Watson’s Hermione, what an amazing job she does looking deeply uncomfotable in someone else’s skin. Even when Hermione tries to be Bellatrix more convincingly, by being a bit haughty, it still looks like Emma Watson playing Hermione playing Bellatrix. When in fact it is HBC playing Emma Watson playing Hermione playing Bellatrix.
And you. can’t. tell. the. difference. at. all.
This sequence has got to be one of the most exceptional bits of acting in the entire movie franchise. I was just blown away.

And there’s this scene in the film that had me right on the edge of my seat where Bellatrix tortures poor Hermione. I was just wondering how intense was that for you to film?
It was very intense to film. I was actually surprised by how affecting I found it. But the way we did it, it’s like, I agreed with him and said, “Look, I’ll do it once. And I’ll do it for real.” And he was like, “Okay.” and set up two to three different cameras. And then, he just said “Roll!”. And then Helena and I basically free-played for, like, two minutes. By the end of it, I was in a bit of a state. I couldn’t - when he called “Cut!” - I couldn’t stop crying. It’s quite hard when you get yourself into something like that - when the cameras stop rolling - to just… click out of it.
This is why you can’t compare this kind of acting to Twilight.I teared up just reading this.
Oh my goodness.. I cried at so many different points, it was absolutely pathetic. I really did. The one that really got me, and I don’t know why, was Dobby when he got stabbed and when he died. That was just the end of me, I was hysterical.. I was absolutely hysterical. Yeah, it just really, really got to me, that bit.. um, I just thought that was horrendous and very sad.
